Cradle Mountain The mountain is in the Central Highlands region of Tasmania. Surrounded by the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. Rising to a height of 1,545 metres (5,069 ft) above sea level, Cradle Mountain is the sixth-highest mountain in Tasmania, Australia. I drove daily from the town of Sheffield to Dove Lake car park Cradle Mountain. Mustang GT spirited driving on the twisting roads.
